Another Award for an Athlete Ambassador

All of us at Right To Play would like to congratulate our Athlete Ambassador Mark Cavendish for being nominated for the prestigious BBC Sport's Personality of the Year award. As well as being a dedicated cyclist Mark is a valued Ambassador for Right To Play.
In August Mark joined us for the start of our Edinburgh to London bike ride. In July we will be cheering him and the rest of the Team Colombia HTC team on, as they complete the second stage of the Tour De France in Brussels, before spending the next 3 days cycling back to London.  Read on for more on the ride and Mark's response to his nomination

On being nominated for the award Mark commented, “I am absolutely thrilled to be nominated for the Sports Personality award. And to be the only cyclist on the list makes it an even bigger honour, especially after so many great performances by other British riders. To be recognised by an award like this, in my home country, is really special.”  Right To Play wish Mark the best of luck for winning the award - he will always be a winner to us.
