Say... Cake Sale
Three Grand In A Day!
Marching in as the youngest Right To Play Student Ambassadors and putting us all to shame, we're awed to announce that York House School has raised over £3000 for Right To Play in the course of a single day.
Here's a photo of the excellent class 4T (T for terrific, tremendous and so on), who will also be writing letters to children taking part in Right To Play's programmes in Uganda.
Located in the upper echelons of the Metropolitan line and surrounded by daffodils, the Junior and Senior primary school boys held a cake sale, non-uniform day and sponsored football tournament, while the pre-prep pupils formed a coin chain that stretched for over 36 metres.
We'd like to say a huge thank you to all at York House School for their amazing achievment, with particular thanks to Cliff Telfer and Peter MacDougall for organising the event. On a personal note, we would also like to thank the school for having us to speak at Assembly a couple of times over the term. The pupils were all charming and one gave an excellent full rendition of 'The Entertainer.' We must apologise to 4T for making fools of ourselves attempting to write on your futuristic whiteboards.
