March 25th, 2009 "Right To Play Day"

Text 'PLAY' to 81400!

Right To Play Day - March 25th Sport is available to all in the UK and as such is largely taken for granted. In actual fact, the positive social, physical and mental benefits afforded by sport make it an essential part our child and youth development and continued health throughout adulthood. Unfortunately, in some parts of the world structured sport is a privilege enjoyed by very few, and health awareness and education provisions are in tatters.

Right To Play is changing this.

We currently work with 720,000 children each week in more than 20 of the world’s most impoverished countries. But there are many more we want to reach, and this is where we need your help. On March 25th 2009, every student who plays sport in the UK will be encouraged by BUCS to pay £1 for their Right To Play.

Ways to pay

However you do it, please dig not so deep and make a difference. There are 330,000 sport playing students in the UK each week: if even a fraction of you get involved then together we’ll be changing a vast amount of lives.

This is a UK student movement with global repercussions. It’s about giving sport a moral purpose, and a pound, just one pound, is all it costs to be part of this movement.
